Founder's Day raft race

21 February 2016

It was another great day for Sunnynook Scout Group, winning the annual Founder’s Day raft race to retain the trophy. 35 teams from scout groups throughout the Mahurangi region competed. Points were awarded for teamwork, raft construction and position in the race.

We are very grateful to The Southern Trust for their generous grant allowing us to purchase new lifejackets for the group. They were given their first official outing here. This allows us to continue our proud history of teaching teamwork and water safety to our members through fun and adventurous activities such as this.
